KIA Information: Known to have been killed by German MG fire on the corner of Hofstraat and Grote Markt near the Arnhem bridge. Possible he was first buried as an unknown soldier on the Moscowa Cemetery at Arnhem, and later as such reinterred at Oosterbeek.

According to a comrade who later told the sappers wife that he was killed by a tank whilst being marched from Grossenhain to Riesa, in Germany. He was buried beside the road.
